For those of you who haven’t watched Lion King a thousand times, Hakuna Matata means ‘No Worries’ or ‘Take it Easy’ in Swahili - it’s what we’ve named our latest trek and hope it works out that way. We are off to Southern Africa for a few months of sight seeing, safaris, hiking and volunteering. From there, we will head north to Europe to see friends and family. We’re starting in Cape Town and then working our way north through Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, Tanzania, and Kenya. We will be on safari much of the time and hope to get some great photos of the ‘Big 5’ – African elephant, lion, leopard, Cape buffalo, and rhinoceros along with many other birds and animals. Without giving away too much, the outline of the trip is on the map below.
I’m sending this note to check out the email distribution list for our blog. If you get this you should also get an email from the blog ‘Rose-Treks.com’. I plan to send out updates via that blog so if you didn’t get this same email from that address check your spam or let me know. If you don’t want to get the blog you can just unsubscribe too, or invite others if we forgot someone. We're no pros at blogging so please excuse our mistakes in the blogosphere.
While we love to explore, one of the downsides is not staying in touch with our friends and family as much – we hope this blog helps keep us connected. We love to hear from you as we travel either about our trip or what’s going on with you – please stay in touch! We’re looking forward to a fun time and we hope you all enjoy the pictures and the stories as well.
The blog can be found at Rose-Treks.com. The latest blog is at Hakuna Matata on the site.
